Tattoo Rosies is known for being a friendly, warm and welcoming tattoo shop, home to 12 genuinely down-to-earth and kind people.

We’re committed to creating an environment where our clients feel comfortable to express themselves, share ideas, ask questions and feel at ease throughout their entire tattoo experience.

Rosies is also home to one of the largest collections of international and Australian tattoo art and flash. Our Surry Hills studio spans five levels, each with its own unique space, stations and artwork. Our walls are lined with original works dating back to the 1950s, from icons like Bob Wood, Greg Irons and Frank Thompson, alongside pieces from our own artists.

For those passionate about tattoo history or seeking a bespoke tattoo experience, Tattoo Rosies offers one of the most authentic tattoo environments in Sydney.

When you arrive, our shop manager will take you through the required forms before introducing you to your artist. From there, you’ll have time to talk through your ideas, placement and any questions you might have. If you’d like to adjust the size or placement at any stage, always feel free to speak up, we want you to feel completely confident before we begin.

During your tattoo we’ll check in with you regularly and are always happy to take breaks whenever you need.

We’ve built a loyal customer base locally, across Australia and internationally, with many returning time and time again. Whether it’s your first tattoo or you’re adding to an existing collection, we aim to make the experience relaxed, straightforward and enjoyable.

  • "There are tattoo shops then there are amazing places you can't wait to run back to and have their artists perform tattoo magic on you. Tattoo Rosies is definitely the latter. This is the place where tattoo artists go to get tattooed. Don't let the simple street facade fool you. Once that door opens, you walk into the most beautiful, airy, relaxing and welcoming shop imaginable. When you walk in, the gentle thrum of the tattoo guns is only interrupted by a mob of gorgeous, enthusiastic and friendly artists are keen to help you whether it's your first visit or your eventual return. When you do meet your artist, you can't help feel your the only one in the room and the sheer patience and kindness they have shows they care about the tattoo - and the process - as much as you do. Though my experience centres around one artist, the interaction between the artists and their customers is always uplifting, open and at times hilarious. Personally, I travel about 1.5 hours to get my tattoos here. Sure there are amazing places closer to where I live. But I would travel 10 times that distance to have any of their artists create their work on me. Give them a call. Check out their flash days. Scroll through their insta. You won't be disappointed.
